Kathryn Merwin is a writer based in Baltimore. She has read and/or reviewed for the Bellingham Review, WomenArts Quartertly, and the Adroit Journal, and received her MFA in poetry from Western Washington University. Her first collection, Womanskin, is forthcoming from CutBank Chapbooks.
Her influences include Karen Russell, Jeanann Verlee, Ross Gay, Mary Szybist, Ocean Vuong, Jane Wong, Cynthia Marie Hoffman, Danez Smith, Natalie Diaz, Gabrielle Calvocoressi, John A. Nieves, Clementine Von Radics, Linda Hogan, Louise Erdrich, and Sylvia Plath.
She enjoys pit bulls, 2000s alt rock, hiking, and carrying torches.
